It has been a very busy year for us so far. Several major family issues have kept us from making timely updates - we hope to catch up! We have had a cold and rainy spring and summer which has not affected the mature plants, although many bloomed two-three weeks late, but the seedlings have been very slow. Now that it is finally warmer they are growing faster.

Cypripedium Sam Saulys is a new hybrid of Cyp Gisela x Cyp xandrewsii made by Paul Perakos and Ron Burch. It was registered in honor of our friend Eleanor (Sam) Saulys, an advocate of native orchid conservation in Connecticut.
